What + How
After 25 years inside law and accounting firms — as a Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, Big 5 strategy consultant, and consigliere to managing partners — Clinton Gary has seen and built growth programs that work: connecting strategy to execution, moving firms from passive to proactive growth, and delivering greater value for the firm, its lawyers, and its clients. That's Collaborative Growth™.
Clinton didn't come to law firm growth from the outside. He lived it — as a practitioner, a strategist, and a senior leader who sat in the room where decisions got made.
He has built sector initiatives, key client programs, practice planning processes, and acquisition integrations from scratch — at firms ranging from regional mid-market practices to AmLaw 50. He has sat across from managing partners in the most difficult conversations about strategy, culture, and growth — and helped them move from debate to direction.
CREDO was founded in 2021 on a simple belief: that the firms best positioned to grow already have most of what they need. What they're missing is the framework, the focus, and someone who has built it before.
Three phases. One unusually complete picture of how law firms grow — and why they don't.
credo
Latin · "I believe"
noun · a statement of the beliefs or aims which guide someone's actions.
CREDO is named for the Latin word for belief. The founding belief: law firms have more growth potential than they are currently reaching. The gap is not talent. It is alignment, activation, and follow-through. And those are things that can be built.
