About Clinton Gary

Clinton Gary

Founder & Managing Principal, CREDO Consulting Group · Atlanta, Georgia

What + How

After 25 years inside law and accounting firms — as a Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, Big 5 strategy consultant, and consigliere to managing partners — Clinton Gary has seen and built growth programs that work: connecting strategy to execution, moving firms from passive to proactive growth, and delivering greater value for the firm, its lawyers, and its clients. That's Collaborative Growth™.

The Career

25 years building what works.

Clinton didn't come to law firm growth from the outside. He lived it — as a practitioner, a strategist, and a senior leader who sat in the room where decisions got made.

He has built sector initiatives, key client programs, practice planning processes, and acquisition integrations from scratch — at firms ranging from regional mid-market practices to AmLaw 50. He has sat across from managing partners in the most difficult conversations about strategy, culture, and growth — and helped them move from debate to direction.

CREDO was founded in 2021 on a simple belief: that the firms best positioned to grow already have most of what they need. What they're missing is the framework, the focus, and someone who has built it before.

What Makes the Difference

Operator. Strategist. Advisor.

Three phases. One unusually complete picture of how law firms grow — and why they don't.

01Emphasis on HowSomeone who has wrestled with the same tensions, navigated the same politics, and built programs that survived contact with real partners. Clinton brings the what and the how — not just the insight, but the path forward.
02Executive FacilitationThe ability to lead a room of senior partners through a difficult growth conversation — creating alignment without forcing it, and producing decisions that stick.
03The Full ArcSeventeen years as a Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer. Big 5 strategy consulting before that. Five years advising firms across the industry since. Most advisors bring one of these. Clinton brings all three — and the pattern recognition that only comes from seeing the same challenges repeat across dozens of organizations.
04Market Intelligence in the RoomFinance, economic development, and Big 5 strategy roots mean Clinton brings real market analysis to every engagement — not just firm history and industry benchmarks.

credo

Latin · "I believe"

noun · a statement of the beliefs or aims which guide someone's actions.

A Founding Belief

CREDO is named for the Latin word for belief. The founding belief: law firms have more growth potential than they are currently reaching. The gap is not talent. It is alignment, activation, and follow-through. And those are things that can be built.
